  • St. Edward Mercy Medical Center just celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005 and opened its $70 million "Centers of Excellence" in 2002 with facilities for the treatment of heart disease; women and children; and outpatient procedures. The complex includes a 55,488 square-foot state-of-the-art St. Edward Mercy Heart Center offering comprehensive heart services and a 77,997 square-foot St. Edward Outpatient Center offering surgical treatment without overnight stay. Mercy Ambulatory Surgery Center received the national Press-Ganey Compass Award for outstanding customer satisfaction.

Plus in 2010, St. Edward will begin using EPIC software system which will allow access to patient information with the same chart for inpatient and outpatient services. Epic’s electronic medical records provide for Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and improve both patient safety and patient outcomes.

  • St. Joseph's, a 317-bed facility, serves a 7-county service population of over 300,000 people. St. Joseph's is a member of the Sisters of Mercy Health System and recipient for both the overall Diamond Award and large-company Gold Award at the 2006 Governor's Family Friendly Employer Awards Ceremony.
    St. Joseph's Hospitalist service team is currently made up of 5 internal medicine physicians as well as a Nurse Director. The team enjoys a very reasonable call and work load. The opportunity offers a generous compensation and comprehensive benefits package including relocation.
