ID: 3590 Location: HAWAII Waimea Full-Time STAFF PHYSICIAN - North Hawaii Community Hospital We are seeking hospitalists for a new hospital medicine program at a community-owned, non-profit hospital in a beautiful location on the Big Island of Hawaii. This is your opportunity to live and work in paradise. Centrally located in the northern region of the Big Island, this hospital offers a full spectrum of acute care hospital services with a commitment to patient-centered care that treats the patient as a whole person -- mind, body and spirit -- in the context of family, culture, and community. Designed as a healing instrument, the hospital is fast becoming a prototype for the careful integration of select complementary healing practices with high-quality medical care. Candidates should be ABIM or ABFM certified with hospitalist experience and should be able to run lines. Having procedural skills will be a strong plus. The town of Waimea is located in the South Kohala District of Hawaii's Big Island. Waimea is the largest town in the interior of the Big Island. It is located about 20 miles northeast of the Waikoloa Resort area, 13 miles west of HonokaÊ»a, 22 miles west of WaipiÊ»o Valley and 18 miles south of KapaÊ»au. Waimea lies in the rolling green foothills above the Kohala Coast.
