ID: 3670 Location: ILLINOIS Our client has an urgent job opportunity for a locums Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to assistant with medical leave coverage for about 6-8 weeks, starting in mid-September, just outside of the Chicago, Illinois area. The candidate should be BC Pulmonary/Critical Care for this role in a 100% adult practice with 30% trauma, 50% inpatient, and 50% outpatient work. The provider will see between 12-18 ppd in the office/clinic. Hours are 7A – 5P. Night call will be required with Pulmonary call every 3rd night with 24-hour consults and Emergency Department coverage and Critical Care call about 6-7 days per month. On days when the physician is assigned as an Intensivist, the doctor is required to be in the hospital. From 5P the physician can be available by pager, but if called must respond within 30 minutes. Pulmonary/Critical Care days (Intensivist) do not have a scheduled office on their assigned days. Locums physician would be responsible for thoracentesis and endoscopy in emergency situations.
