ID: 3539 Location: LOUISIANA BATON ROUGE Full-Time, MEDICAL DIRECTOR, Ochsner Medical Center We are looking for an experienced medical director to lead our new hospital medicine program at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The program begins in 2010, and we are accepting H1B-visa physicians for a 2010 start date. We are building a team of 11 hospitalists, including the medical director, to provide triple coverage for an average daily census of 40 to 55 patients, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Approximately 16 patients are admitted daily, and there are 5,800 admissions yearly. The schedule will be 7 days on and 7 days off for the group, but the medical director will work a Monday through Friday daytime schedule. Admissions come from the emergency department and from area primary care physicians.
