Hospitalist Program Profile The Hospitalist Team of six to ten full and part-time physicians will be on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Day shifts are generally 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Night shifts are generally 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The schedule consists of 4-7 days on and 4-7 days off. Each full time hospitalist will provide up to 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month consisting of sixteen 12 hour shifts. The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge. Located in south central Michigan with a population of 55,000, Battle Creek continues to enjoy a strong economy and brisk pace of growth.
