ID: 3596 Location: WEST VIRGINIA Welch Full-Time an Part-Time STAFF PHYSICIAN - Join our internal medicine team at Welch Community Hospital The hospital averages 900 admissions, 10,597 ED visits, and 90 deliveries a year. The 124-bed hospital is owned and managed by the State of West Virginia. The facility has designated 59 beds for long-term care and 64 for adult and pediatric in-patient care, and there are 7 beds for the ICU. This full-time position is flexible and may combine assignments in the hospital medicine program and the healthcare clinic located on the bottom floor of the facility. The internal medicine clinic will have 12 to 15 appointments daily from 9am to 5pm. The clinic serves walk-in patients, pediatrics, internal medicine, and OB/GYN. The hospitalist will provide traditional inpatient care for 8 to 10 patients daily. The hospitalist rotates one-week-on and one-week-off, changing on Wednesday at 5 pm. The hospitalist also takes call for the internal medicine inpatients and new admissions for the week. Approximately 2.25 new admissions are seen each day. The position offers competitive salary, paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage. Located in the New River-Greenbrier Valley region of West Virginia, Welch provides beautiful scenery that includes forests, waterfalls, and mountain farms.
